Rock Crystal with Hematite - M

This quartz specimen from Morocco measures 9.5 × 7.5 cm and weighs 390 g. Well-developed rock crystal points are intergrown with hematite, whose deep red pigmentation accentuates the transparency and geometry of the quartz beneath it. The clear-to-slightly-milky crystal base creates a luminous contrast against the hematite's intense color and rougher mineral texture.
