Quartz Geode – L

This quartz geode from Morocco measures 11 × 8.5 cm and weighs 650 g. The raw, nodular exterior gives no hint of what lies inside: a cavity lined with bright, well-formed quartz crystals, built up over millions of years as mineral-rich groundwater crystallized inward within a gas pocket in ancient volcanic rock. At this size it becomes a genuine presence on a shelf or table, while still being easy to place in almost any room.
