Soft, spherical clusters of pure white okenite form a delicate, fibrous structure with a silky, almost velvety appearance — sometimes nicknamed 'popcorn stone' for its cloud-like, radiating growth. Okenite is a rare zeolite-associated mineral that crystallizes inside gas cavities in basalt, and India's Deccan Traps region is one of the world's classic localities for it.
