Smoky Quartz - XS

This smoky quartz point from Brazil measures 27.5 × 6 cm and weighs 1.06 kg. Its elongated form is offset by a band of sparkling micro-crystalline growth along one side, where the crystal's otherwise defined, sharp edges give way to a rougher, textured natural surface. Smoky quartz owes its warm brown color to natural irradiation acting on trace aluminum within the quartz lattice over geological time — a slow process reflected here in deep, smoky transparency. Its slender profile suits a narrow shelf or windowsill as easily as a collector's cabinet.
